About Us
Based in the picturesque county of Devon, the Swing Against Cancer is the brainchild of a group of seasoned golfers, each hailing from diverse professional backgrounds, from Sales and Marketing to Information Technology. Together we bring forth a wealth of experience, not only in the realm of playing golf but also in orchestrating a variety of golf events.
The Genesis of the Swing Against Cancer, came after one of our team's family members were diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, knowing people run Marathons, Climb Mountains and Swim the Channel etc whilst fundraising, we realised that the Golfing Community as a collective did not have a Club linked English National Golf fundraising competition project.
So we thought lets give it a go, and try to create something worthwhile to help make a difference, also knowing that Marathons, Mountains and The Channel do not really suit us, BUT GOLF WE LOVE IT!

Motivated to establish a format that would be popular, competitive, and great fun to play in, we engaged in numerous discussions. These dialogues revolved around the detail of determining a national structure, a scoring system, and the scheduling of fixtures into the playing calendar. After consideration of all these factors, we are delighted to unveil three exciting new trophies:

In our endeavour to promote this project, we also recognised the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause. Given that all of us have been directly or indirectly affected by cancer, we approached Cancer Research UK (CRUK) with the intention of raising funds. We were elated when they found our ideas commendable, we will now raise funds in aid of Cancer Research UK with their guidance and support.
