THE SWING AGAINST CANCER
Together we are beating cancer

How we fundraise and Our Target
Here at Swing Against Cancer we wanted to achieve two things. Firstly, the creation of three brilliant new UK National Club Team Championship Trophies, but more importantly, to create a platform to raise much needed funds for Cancer Research via the golfing community in the UK. Being avid golfers ourselves, we set about constructing a "fairway" (pardon the pun!) to collect potential donations across our competitions. From these ideas the Swing Against Cancer was formed, a place where members can play very competitive and fun golf, and voluntarily contribute along the way.

Why join us and give your support?
As it states on the Homepage, we know that every swing, every putt, and every drive will count in the fight against cancer. By joining us and participating in the Swing Against Cancer Trophies you will be helping make a direct impact on groundbreaking cancer research, treatment advancements, and supporting those affected by this relentless disease.

So how do we fundraise?
Participants are given the option to make a donation of £3 when they register to take part in a fixture, via this Giving page, and all donations will go directly to Cancer Research UK. In addition, on matchdays there will be a fun optional donation for players, in the form of a £1 "Land in the Bunkers" donation. Please note, any donations are totally optional, whilst any players taking part also have the facility to donate any amount of their own choice.

Our Target!
We are ambitious and have set ourselves a target over the golfing season of £50,000 being raised for Cancer Research, with anything over that being considered a Brucey Bonus.

Cancer Research UK is a fantastic charity that does tremendous work on behalf of us all. So we as the golf community can get downwind behind the cause, let's get the balls rolling, because together we can make a difference, have some great golfing fun along the way, and hit that green (sorry, target!).
